Marcela Ciccioli, particip\u00f3 desde la apertura en el Congreso de Investigaci\u00f3n de la International Society of Eye Research (ISER 2024), que por primera vez se realiz\u00f3 en la ciudad de Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Este congreso internacional re\u00fane a varios de los m\u00e1s destacados investigadores en ciencia b\u00e1sica dedicados a estudios oftalmol\u00f3gicos, y la Lic. Ciccioli, bi\u00f3loga especialista en Gen\u00e9tica, disert\u00f3 all\u00ed sobre la situaci\u00f3n epidemiol\u00f3gica de las distrofias de retina en la Argentina, presentando estudios cl\u00ednicos y de secuenciaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica realizados con m\u00e1s de 1200 pacientes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La presidenta de Retina Argentina agradeci\u00f3 el honor de exponer ante las m\u00e1ximas autoridades de este importante congreso cient\u00edfico, entre ellos el director del Instituto Nacional de la Visi\u00f3n estadounidense (NEI, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s), y el director del Instituto Nacional de \u00d3rganos Sensoriales de Tokio, Jap\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participaron adem\u00e1s la oftalm\u00f3loga argentina Laura Echandi, firme colaboradora de nuestra organizaci\u00f3n de pacientes, y las doctoras Marcela P\u00e9rez (Chile) y M\u00f3nica Barbosa (Brasil), otras dos destacadas especialistas m\u00e9dicas que vienen desarrollando un interesante trabajo en sus respectivos pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cExpusimos los casos argentinos frente a los investigadores en ciencia b\u00e1sica cuyo trabajo venimos siguiendo desde hace veinte a\u00f1os, y ellos manifestaron su sorpresa por el trabajo que estamos haciendo en la Argentina\u201d, expres\u00f3 Marcela Ciccioli, quien confi\u00f3 en que de este encuentro \u201csaldr\u00e1n buenas oportunidades para nuestros pacientes\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Este lunes 21 de octubre la presidenta de Retina Argentina, Lic.
